In preparation for starting my own manga, it's time to learn and practice Manga Studio! Who knew 2-bit drawing could be so much fun! ^o^ I still have a lot to learn for sure--both about the program and about manga inking and screentoning--but I did make some progress with my first attempt, and I found out some vital things about the program. (Like what the heck is the point of the pencil tool? It might be okay for blocking in, but I learned the hard way not to use it for the final sketch before inking. >_<) I also need to figure out what size paper to use. I based the measurements of this one off some official manga paper that I have from Japan, but I thought it was odd that the dimensions don't seem to fit a standard paper size... >_>
This is Vane, the main character of my manga-in-planning. Gah, he looks kind of punk here, but I promise it's a fantasy setting. ^^ Ah, the joys of drawing a brand new OC that I'm not familiar with yet... And sorry for the mundane nature of the picture. I wanted to start off with something simple that I was fairly confident I could draw.
