This is my first ever Shadowrunner: John Cadwallader was originally an employee of Renraku's Red Samurai. There he learned to fight, strategize and defend urban installations. The Red Samurai took special interest in his abilities as a sharpshooter and taught him to be a sniper. He liked the gig because it paid well, and encouraged him to use Cyberware to enhance his body. But soon he was cyberizing too much, becoming too strong. He was a liability to Renraku's interests. So the put out a warrant for his arrest and eventual execution. He evaded capture and went underground, he assumed the alias Avatar and began doing jobs for Yakuza and Triads alike--whatever paid the bills for his upgrades. He entered the world of Shadowrunning with his custom sniper rifle and a bad attitude. He took pleasure in exacting some revenge on his betrayers, stealing high-tech weapons and vehicles from the Red Samurai during missions with other priorities. With enhanced musculature, chemically improved reflexes, cybernetic eyes and ears, and recoil compensators in his arms, he was an almost unstoppable force on the battlefield.
