Soooo, this is my OC Meona, I made her up in the year 07, and she is the only thing I have found that I have drawn yearly since I began drawing. Haha, yeah, anyways, this is for jeweloflife's challenge "Prove your improvement".

From a scale of 1-10, how have you improved in quality/skill?Why?
I would probably say 6.5, because I am WAY better than I used to be. (looking at my old work makes me cry sometimes...) but, I am not the best that I can be, which is why I am not ranking it higher.

How has your understanding of art techniques and such developed?
Meh? I really don't understand much at all, I mean, everyday I learn more and more that i can use to my artistic advantage, but the more I learn, the more I realize that I know aboslutely nothing.

What have you learned?
Well, I've learned that traditional art generaly looks better, if you ink it, and then erase all the pencil lines before coloring it. I've also learned that different mediums work better on different types of papers. I've learned that with markers, sometimes it is better to color in the shading before you color in the actual colors, but not always. You need to be in the right mood for your artwork, or else it will not turn out the way you want it to. Example, if you are sad, and you try drawing a happy person, they will not always turn out looking happy. I've also learned that I have issues with drawing eyes digitally. :<

What inspired you to improve?
Uhhh, I don't think that I was really inspired to improve. Honestly, back in 07 I thought I was pretty dang good at drawing, and because I thought I was so dang good at it i just kept doing it, and over time my style changed alot, and as i learned new things to apply to it, it just got better. If i had to choose one thing to say that has inspired me to improve the most though, it would probably be my friends. I don't know if you know this about me, but I'm kind of vain and self centered, and I hate it when people are better than me at anything. I look at everything as a competition, so I always try to do, not only my best, but better than my best, so as to be better than all of my friends. :)

Any tips for those wishing to improve themselves?
Just keep at it! if you aren't satisfied with your work, then you just need to work more. Also, don't reject critiques, listen to what people have to say to you, even if it is negative, and you feel insulted at first, it's usually honest, so listen to what they say.
