This is a sketch I did in the bus two days ago to kill time. It's been a while since I've done anything in Graphite and Charcoal (in fact, it's been a while since I've done anything!!) so doing this was a lot of fun.
Two days ago I was coming back to my office from a job assignment and a giggling group of tourists woke me up from a nap I was taking at the time.
Among these tourists was a girl that wasn't particularily beautiful, but whose glasses and hairstyle caught my eye momentarily. What caught my attention the most is how her abundant, jet black hair fell over her shoulders, covering her hoodie and neck. I thought it would be an interesting concept for a portrait, but I feel I could not capture her wonderful, messy hair as I saw it.
