I'm not quite sure I managed to capture the pure epic-ness of the firebird in Fantasia 2000, but I couldn't resist drawing one of my favorite scenes from the Fantasia films.

I've always loved Stravinsky's Fire Bird Suite (long story short it's always been my kind of personal soundtrack) and the piece played during the Firebird's awakening & destruction (an abridged version of "Infernal Dance of all of Kaschei's Subjects") never fails to make me jump no matter how many times I'm expecting it.

I'm in a serious Disney mood! I'm finally off for Christmas Break and feel like watching a marathon of Christmas Specials and nostalgic childhood films. Fantasia being top on my list, of course. Also I realized I haven't seen The Land Before Time in ages...and I finally got a DVD of The Hunchback of Notre Dame that actually works this time. :D But there's so much to do for Christmas D: but then again....it's freakin' CHRISTMAS! :D *Cue caroling*
