It had to be done. It had to. It's just so true. Naruto needs a brain, Sasuke needs a heart, Sakura needs courage, and Kakashi needs to get out of that dress before all the fangirls' eyes start bleeding. Still, Kakashi was perfect for the role of Dorothy because Pakkun can be Toto. ("Pakkun, I don't think were in the Leaf Vilage anymore.") And I HAD to go the whole way with the yellow brick road and everything.

I came up with this idea YEARS ago and it took me forever to actually sit down and draw it. Then it took me forever to get off my butt and scan it. And then it took me forever to resize and post the thing. What am I trying to say here? I'm a procrastinator.

Coming up with the costumes was fun. I wanted to incorporate the clothes that the characters wear in the series with the costumes in The Wizard of Oz. Naruto's costume was the easiest to figure out. Sasuke's was hard to draw, and I don't think I pulled it off too well. Thinking back, I should have put the Uchiha family symbol on his ax. Sakura's costume was especially hard because the Cowardly Lion doesn't actually wear clothes. Except for the bow. Which I included. I kind of cheated with Kakashi because I didn't change Dorothy's outfit too much. Too bad I couldn't fit in his ruby sandal/boot wha-cha-ma-callits.

Silly side note: I bet Kakashi wishes he could be the Scarecrow. 'Cause that's what his name means. Or so I hear.
