Honōguma was the fire-type starter in the Gold and Silver alpha. I can see why he didn't make the final cut, but I always liked the little guy. He was also connected to the PokéGods rumors as Pikaflare and Flarechu.
Anyway, about the picture, I started with pencil and paper, then inked it, scanned it, and used Photoshop for the cleaning up and coloring.
