When I went to the comic shop today they had beginner sets of tone paper, like what manga artists use to shade their work. I bought a small set with a few small pages of different shades and came up with this for my first practice piece. ^^""
Obviously I need WAY more practice with it. There are some spots I missed with the paper, and I was using bad paper for it so the tone paper wouldn't stick very well. That and I only had like, 5 different shades and was reluctant to use them all because I only have a little bit.
I chose Kaira over Ryo, since my practice bit of Ryo was a waist-up shot and I wanted to focus more on a specific area. That and I wanted the piece to have variation while still being easy. I like how it turned out overall, and it was a fun experience. If I ever get better at this I think I'll order better toner paper online, now that I got the website for it ;D
