I decided to draw Youko Kurama and O'Falla in fight scene, like they get into so often in the Demon World. These two are old friends and have been for centuries.

No, they're not lovers. I don't know why people assume when a guy and girl are together in the same picture and have a history together that they're going out. Simple reason, O'Falla has no sexual interest in anyone other than male members of her own species. She's a deer demon, so handsome young bucks get her interested like that. Case in point: [link] I've got them drawn like this with Kurama in his demon form, because O'Falla is much more familiar with him like this. Seeing him as human is so unnatural and a surprise to her.

BTW the red octopus-looking demon isn't crying because he's sad. His tears contain a very corrosive substance that eats away at whatever they drip on. There's a hole in the ground beneath him from the puddle he's making.
