I thought I'd take this challenge as an opportunity to experiment with a number of different things... including composition and some coloring. I might try my hand at coloring this in a more traditional way, but just playing around with some new methods was instructive in its own right! I was attempting to make it look a little like a pokeball, in terms of the overall composition. Not sure if that comes across or not - but this was certainly an interesting piece to work on.
