Hey! So I've seen quite a few 2011 art summaries being submitted by other Otakus. It inspired me to look through my old artwork from the past year. It was quite funny and embarrassing to see how I used to draw people >//u//<

Anyway, here's a rough summary of the artwork (only my anime/manga people drawings) that I've done over this year! I think I've improved quite a bit. Please let me know what you think! I know one thing for sure... I wouldn't have made it this far without you guys!! You all really have motivated and encouraged me to get creative. I joined theO at the end of August, and I've learned so much since then! Thankyou so much *bows*

Jan-April: During this stint, I wasn't too serious about art. I only painted a little, doodled for fun, and painted shirts. I was also working on a long comic about insects which sort of was dropped after I was introduced to the style and setup of manga.

April: Lol This is one of my very first manga drawings this year. I actually did this one while watching a how-to manga video. Honestly I thought it was my best human drawing ever! My mom even loved it! ... O_o wow, now that I look at it, I think: what a fail. xP You are lucky that you're even granted a small peek at it. Its the most embarrassing little doodle I've done >_< but it was my starting point.

June: I wanted to get right into making my own manga! Maybe I rushed too much, cuz I was set back to a point of depression >_< which didn't clear until I joined theO! Anyway, here are my first OCs. I drew their heads in different angles. They are not very consistent and very shaky. Their bodies were even worse and I totally felt that they weren't good at this point =_=

July: Right before I joined theO. I drew my first fan art, a picture of Ryoma Echizen. It was my first submission to theO as well! The small inset picture is of my main OC in my new style. I also bought Copic markers in this month, sort of as a birthday gift for myself x3 BEST THING I EVER BOUGHT!!!!

August: I started getting more inspired by you all, and I drew a poster from Bakuman as well as some other fan arts. I also did my first digital colouring of a drawing I did of Crimson Hero. Fail again =_=

September: I think I started to take off here. I made lots of new friends on theO and I started watching anime and reading more manga. The inspiration kept building. Thankyou!

October: Still, I kept practicing and learning. It was lots of fun and I started to be able to draw better anime/manga people.

November: Ahh the month of chibi dogs! Well, I also started my Sherlock Holmes fan comic during November. I think I learnt a whole lot, which got me prepared for my busiest month of art that was to come.

December: Thanks to all the artists and friends on theO, I think I've improved a lot. And the whole time I had so much fun! I didn't feel alone, and you all gave me great feedback on my artwork! With Christmas approaching, I was so excited and inspired to make fan art gifts for many of my friends. It's been the best time of the year. I hope that I can continue to improve (for one, I need to draw more girl characters... I didn't realize I drew so many guys *facepalm*) and maybe someday achieve my dream to write manga. I still have a ways to go, but I'll keep working! And I hope we can all be together, joined on theO, for lots of years to come! THANKS SO MUCH! *HUGS*
