The redrawn version of Kasumi. I changed almost her whole character appearance,name, and her story:

Sumi is the younger sister of Haku by two years. Unlike Haku, she didnt inherit the Kekkai Genkai, unfortunately. When Haku killed their father and the mob that their father sent to kill Haku because his Kekkai Genkai was found out. Sumi saw the whole thing and was frightened by her brother. So she fled away from him after that, as Haku was ended up being alone and homeless like her.

When Zabuza took Haku in, she had met and befriending the young Rika. Rika noticed that Sumi was homeless, and asked her mom, and Jonin leader, Keone if Sumi could live with them. Keone agreed and so started the two/three's beautiful friendship.

Years later, Sumi and Rika became shinobi, and made a squad that consisted of the two, squad leader Keone, and newcomer Kenji who also needs to be redrawn.

The close squad went on completing missions as all do. But one day, the day of the battle between Haku, Zabuza, and Kakashi's squad on the Great Naruto Bridge, their team spotted the battle. They recognized Haku and Zabuza as fellow Mist shinobi, and Keone went to report it while Rika, Sumi, and Kenji watched the battle from a safe, undectectable distance. The three noticed the likeness between Sumi and Haku, and Sumi recognized him as her older brother and was overjoyed to see he was safe and well-taken care of. Because of this, she took an immediate like to Zabuza, indebted to him for taking care of Haku.

The fear that she had as a child welled up within her, though now it was not as strong, for Sumi could tell that Haku had more control over his feasome Kekkei Genkai. The three watched the battle up until the point where Kakashi killed Haku with his lightning jutsu. As Sumi saw that, she took in all of Kakashi's features to memorize them, vowing from that day on that she would get revenge for killing her brother, and would kill Kakashi. She fled from watching, and Kenji and Rika followed her.

Sumi trained hard over a course of time, getting stronger, because she knew that Kakashi was strong to defeat the famed Zabuza Momochi of the Mist. She joined the hunter-nin, so that the experience and knowledge of them would help her training. Upon joining, she found out that Haku had also been a member of the nin. Like him and many others, she recieved the hunter-nin's mask. She only wore it when she was on a nin mission, was hunting Kakashi, or was just trying to be secretive.

Eventually, she and Kakashi met face to face, both alone. Sumi told Kakashi of her vow of revenge, and about the relationshi between her and Haku. Kakashi didnt want to fight her, fearing she may have a Kekkei Genkai too, but also because he wasnt into being fought upon revenge. Sumi forced a battle between them, and it went on for a while, though she lost to him. She retreated, swearing to him that she will get stronger, and next time wouldnt be so easy.

She continues her training, often meeting Kakashi and other Leaf shinobi, as her squad joins in on the exams. Sumi and Kakashi battle whenever she meets him in a private place, though it always ends up in her defeat.

-The story keeps going like that pretty much, so Im just going to skip over to the part where Haku and Zabuza get resurrected by Kabuto/Orochimaru-

Sumi happened to be spying on Kakashi when Haku and Zabuza where ressurrected, and where forced to help in destroying the Leaf Village. She was up in a tree, watching Kakashi, with all the other Leaf ninja there, when Haku came in to her view. She noted that something was amiss, for Haku shouldnt be alive, she saw him die. So she went in for a closer look, revealing herself to the Leaf and drawing a bit of attention.

Kakashi saw her, and intevened, asking what she was doing there. Sumi says that she has to speak to her brother Haku, and pushes her way past Kakashi to him. Brother and sister meet for the first time since childhood, and Haku recognizes her as someone familiar, though not sure who. Sumi tells Haku of her identity, and asks what he is doing there, alive. Haku explains the situation, and Sumi only somewhat understands. He then tells her the same thing he told Kakashi, to help stop them.

Haku and Sumi enter a short fight, Sumi then realizing just how strong Haku really is, before telling him that she cannot defeat her brother, and stops their battle. She doesnt exit the area however, but does stay around to try and sort of help the Leaf ninja. (More on the story will be added once I read/watch this full episode, until then, hold tight!)

Now just for a short recap on Sumi. Her weapons are two bladed fans with light blue tassles hanging from the ends. The Mist Village symbol is visible on her headband that she wears on her forhead. She wears the brown haori and obi of the hunter-nin, though her kimono differs slighty. Sumi also wears geta similar to Haku's, only different in color. Her hair is black and long, tied up in a bun like Haku's. Her hair is more like when Haku's was little though, with pieces of hair in her face. She wears two hair sticks to keep it in the bun. Though she does not have the Kekkei Genkai of her mother and Haku, her fighting style is similar to Haku's. She's agile, nimble, and swift. She keeps a few senbon and other ninja tools in a pouch hidden in her obi. Her jutsu's consist of ice style, wind style, and fan-related jutsus. Sumi is usually a hard and non-feeling person, unless it comes to her brother or her friend Rika.
