Well, this is Kuchiki Byakuya from the Bleach series in his fight with an Espada.

I was originally going to submit this for FaithlessFighter's Pride Challenge, but then I realized it was only for ecards *face-palms multiple times* I'm an idiot DX But I liked the way it fit into the challenge so much that I decided to dedicate it to you anyway, even though it can't be in the contest ^^' Hope you like it anyway.

There are multiple reasons why this character qualifies as pride incarnate. 1) Byakuya is well known for monologues of superiority against his opponents. This unfortunate Espada gets the same treatment. 2) Because he's so full of himself, Byakuya is often heavily injured during his fights. The bottom right is just after he's been stabbed by the aforementioned Espada. 3) To avoid the blade thrust, Byakuya uses the 'molting cicada' technique he used from Yoruichi-san. After he uses this move, he mentions how he hates using it because it hurts his pride to use a move taught to him by "that woman." 5) The whole reason he's fighting this battle is for the protection/revenge of his adopted sister Rukia. He tells the Espada the reason he attacked him was because "you pointed your blade at my pride."

Such a prideful guy *shakes head*
