Illustration assignment, "space/place", which doesn't really tell you a whole lot. It was more about dealing with the idea of space or a location, whether literally or conceptually.
The main drive for this project was being told to make something that we like. And for me, that's story telling. Avery is a character I came up with a few months ago for the sake of Blank and a story, but he grew into a person that I wouldn't mind have hanging around for future things. He belongs to a ragtag group of young adults of various ages who go around being couriers or mechanics but end up taking down the bad corporations. Whoever employs them is the surname they take up. He and another of the crew, Dakota, were found with a company called Detrex, but now they're Pyn. It's how the group avoids being caught.
This is the fist time I've done a full-blown acrylic painting in a while. Felt weird. And I would love to attack this in Photoshop and make it all glowy and space-like, which I might do.
