1.) I meant to include the faceless, fingerless, circle-lines drawing too, but I was too impatient and there wasn't a scanner handy. Generally I use circles and lines for more complicated poses...and for people. Otherwise I'll skip this step and just wing it.
Why nude? Because I find it easier to draw clothes on a body then on air. I also draw over drawings so that limb curves stay smooth.
2.) Lines. I drew the clothes and darkened the lines I wanted to keep. All others were erased.
3.) shading can completely change the feel of a piece and expression of a character.
