Er, I mean... (cough) Presenting, the Snake!

Gorebyss...to be honest, scares me. I vaguely recall the Sapphire Pokedex entry being something along the lines of "It stabs viciously to attack its prey" or something similar in violence. They scared the crap out of me as a little kid, and they still kinda freak me out now. Which is why I thought that it would be a great match for the snake - something that scares a lot of people, has a serpentine look, you know...

Shelly was chosen mostly cuz of her correlation with water, and also that whole "beautiful but deadly" thing that Gorebyss has going on as well (though Shelly doesn't scare the bejeebies out of me like Gorebyss does). She was actually quite a lot of fun to draw, especially with conveying the whole "floating in water" thing. All in all, I enjoyed making this piece!!

Shelly looks like she's Vanna White-ing it up there ^^;
