I'm gonna take advantage of the bug that lets you submit the day after the Challenge is over.
I couldn't pick just one character for this Challenge. The fact that it was limited to one submission made this Challenge, well, challenging. So, I decided to draw Deidara (Naruto Shippuden) and Greed (Fullmetal Alchemist and Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood) in a face-off, complete with speed lines.
I had to look up a bunch of references for Deidara. Greed was done pretty much from memory. I think you can guess the favorite. The poses were my own idea. I tried to keep them looking as in-character as I possibly could.
I drew Deidara first because I knew that I'd probably put more effort into Greed. That was a good idea and a bad idea. The sketch of Deidara took up so much space that I really had to cram Greed in there. Thinking back on it, I probably should have alternated on sketching them out. But I think it worked out, OK.
The Photoshop part was really fun. I just messed around with the blurring lighting effects a lot. It was also pretty simple. In fact, I just did it about a half an hour ago.

Characters belong to their respective owners, but the art is MINE. Don't forget to credit me if you use it for a wallpaper or card.
Also, let me take a poll for wallpaper/card makers. Is it OK that I've been changing all my art so that they have a height of 700 pixels? I want them to fit on the screen so that you don't have to scroll down forever to see the full-sized image. But is that a hindrance to wallpaper/card makers due to the small size? How do you suggest I size my images?
