This is a piece I made around the fall of 2011 for an interview at the Joe Kubert School of Cartoon and Graphic Art. I had about 2-3 weeks to prepare my portfolio and decided to add some fresh material. This is a combination of my usual pen and pencil (quite literally the same pens) and a kind of paint that I had no experience with at the time. I practiced with the unfamiliar material once before making this, and I'm pleased with the outcome considering the circumstances. This was done in about a weeks time, and i made another piece the following week to add to my portfolio as well. I'll see if I can post that one up too, until then, enjoy!
