Phantasmal pups within the first year tend to follow a parental figure or figures about the hive. However in their spare time they tend to travelabout in their groups of three to five and gang up on unsuspecting adults. A sleeping room full of adults will quickly find themselves disturbed by a group of pups as they dart from figure to figure, annoying them until battered away. This is generally part of the pecking order status that they learn to become a part of as they grow older.
They will also attempt to imitate the actions of the others in attempts to integrate into the higher society. Two of them are currently mimicking his yawn. lol A third is about to bite hold of his ear. lol

The pups are not Dan's. They're of the hive alpha's. The whole hive just takes presidence in raising them.
