Initially, I wanted to do much more pipework in the background and make the bird itself look more mechanical. But I gave up. And I'd thought of finding a Shakespeare quote on birds or something at first, but this Maya Angelou poem is kinda cooler. I was an English major for my bachelor's degree so I always fall back on literature for inspiration.
