For day 25, Elricz's prompt was for everyone to draw a cartoon character doing something crazy or funny. I admit, this was tough because I haven't watched cartoons for a long time. Originally, I was going to do something with the title character of Dexter's Laboratory and how he can't speak REAL French, but I couldn't think of a way to make it funny. Fortunately, I had a backup plan involving some Disney "comic relief animals".

Here we have Mushu the dragon and Cri-Kee the lucky cricket, both from Mulan, roasting marshmallows. The idea for the picture came to me as follows: Mushu is a dragon. Dragons breathe fire. Fire roasts marshmallows. This is perfect! OK, so it's not super funny, but it's cute. Right?

Thinking back on it all, I probably should have used references. And I gave away my How to Draw Mulan book years ago. Fortunately, I had read through the book so many times that a few of the character designs have been imprinted in my brain. It may not be 100% accurate, but it's not bad for having done it from memory. At least I think so.

It took everything in me not to go into "manga mode" when drawing this.
