Alrighty, then! Here is my submission for Aurora Borealis's Tarot Deck contest! I'm not as happy with it as I'd like to be, but I was kind of pressed for time.
A quick overview of The Chariot:
The Chariot, when presented upward, signifies control, willpower, victory, assertion, and determination. When reversed, it signifies lack of control and direction, as well as aggression.
The black and white horses (more often depicted as sphinxes) signify the unity of positive and negative. The Charioteer does not hold their reins; instead he holds the wand present in The Magician card. He controls his steeds through force of will, as the Magician does. The city is behind him, as he has turned away from civilization and materialism to seek more spiritual matters.
I'm afraid my depiction isn't nearly as detailed or symbolic as the original. I also chickened out of drawing sphinxes, but had to draw horses instead. OH MY GOODNESS. HOW DO YOU HORSES???
I also added a border to make it look more card-like. The brushes were created by Scully7491 on DeviantArt. They can be found here.
