This is my portrait of Gotch, a fictional professional wrestler. He is the main character of the Japanese pro-wrestling manga series "He is Gotch" (「あいつがゴッチ」). This rare 1985 manga series was created by Tamotsu Shimosaka (しもさか 保).

This drawing marks the very first time I used a vector for my image via Inkscape. So far, I'm satisfied with the result that I've got. I plan on using vectors for my future drawings so that it would at least be in good quality once I publish it.

I decided to draw Gotch as part of my practice for my drawing skills. In a way, I also got inspired after reading "He is Gotch" through a legal digital download of the series.

After drawing Shohei and Gotch, I am also aiming to draw more fictional professional wrestlers in various pro-wrestling manga series. Since this manga genre is quite sparse, I'm hoping that my drawings would somehow give these series some publicity, especially for the current non-Japanese generation.
