If anyone reads my blog post / art description things this is from that map that I was talking about with the transcendentalist theme.
Transcendentalism is finding your inner spirituality through nature or meditation. In a very basic description because I am too lazy to look up the real thing.
I jumped on this project when I learned we needed pop culture references and I was chosen as the group drawer because I guess nobody else could / wanted to draw...?
We chose the Lorax because he's trying to save the trees and Elsa because of her ice and snow powers, and I walked in one day and explained Drift to the group: he almost died but somebody saved him and now he's all meditational and religious and stuff (I even freaking found a quote that had the word "transcendental" in it and I exploded).

Note: this picture looks crappy because I snapped it at an angle instead of straight overhead and so they all look flatter here than they really do in RL. I also hadn't colored over the quotes above their heads when I took this so
This whole thing was kind of a big trial and error thing because I'd never drawn a single one of these characters prior to this and I was experimenting with a new face shape when I drew Elsa.
