This is the last mother's day gift I did. This one is actually for my mother. I decided when I was sketching out all my mother's day gifts that I would save my mom's for last. There is a lot of meaning behind why I did my mother's last and if you would like to continue reading your more then welcome to, if not then thank you so much for taking the time to view my art and read this.

Something that is very personal in my life is that my parents got divorced when I was three, my older sister was four, and my little sister was six months old. Originally my mother took the three of us with her, but then she decided to let our father take us back. It wasn't because she didn't love us, it was because she promised herself that when she had kids she would never let them grow up with out their father in their life. That's because her father died when she was four.

Now my little sister who's 18 now lives with my granfather and uncle and is not allowed to see my mother and step father, my older sister lives with my mom and step dad, but she's never home, and I live with my father because I didn't want to leave him alone. I'm a middle child I know how being alone feels. So I come from a broken family. Yes through my life I've gone through depression; my mom supported all of us through thick and thin even though my parents were divorced. On our birthday's in elementary school my mom would make cupcakes and drive out to pick us up and take us to school.

I love my mother and as much as I would like to change some parts of my past those are memories that I would never want to lose. My past helped make me who I am today and it's thanks to my mom always being my light when I was stuck in the dark.
