"Tyrd, ddyn hyfrud" ("Come, lovely man")

Disclaimer: No I've not forgotten how to anatomy, I'm just following the description in a book XD

This is for OoAnBuOo's Myths challenge, I wanted to draw something from a welsh myth/folklore as I thought it would be unique and no one else was likely to do. This is the hag of the mist, known in Welsh as 'Gwrach y rhibyn'.
She's described as skinny, with long arms, long straggling hair, black fangs, huge bat like wings(they're behind her in this pic) and long bony fingers. I gave her welsh clothing from the era she comes from, but with some twists.
She is described as being a phantom and is similar to a Irish/Scottish Banshee in that she is an omen of death, she would visit the persons house, screech/howl out their name and knock on windows and doors, she is also similar to the Japanese Yama Uba where she would call for help and when travelers where near by they'd go an help but end up falling to their deaths or drowning. A story that's, I think, unique to her is that when a young man called Meurig ap Tomos was on his way home through a forest, he sat down to rest, he heard a dog howling coming closer and closer as it did it went dark suddenly and he heard a strange clapping noise coming from almost above him. Then a shriek and flapping noise and a black creature landed in front of him on all fours, the moon came out again and he could see her, he couldn't even scream and waited for his inevitable death, she walked closer and closer to him and crooned "Come, lovely man" (presumably in Welsh though). In the dawn he was found babbling by two men who took him to the rectory, the rector knew of what he was babbling and new it was the hag of the mist and said some prayers. The once healthy young man deteriorated quickly and died three months later. This has happened more than once. She is said to be found in the north of Wales.

Sorry I went on a bit there ^^; myths and stuff is kinda my thing, I love reading the stories and about the creatures, I find them interesting and it can tell you a bit about the area too ^^ (but then again I love art, history, music, science and law too, I really like learning new things ^^; yes I know I'm a dork XD)
I really liked drawing this, it’s not one of my best, but it was fun especially as I’ve been struggling with other pieces I’m currently working on and I enjoyed illustrating a myth, I’ve done one before but needs redoing (and re-typing as well, I was in a rush that day) here. I might make more as I was struggling to chose which one I wanted to show ^^

Sorry if it’s too dark, but I was trying to make it dark and eerie (don’t think I did, but never mind)
I hope you all like it, Art work belongs to me
