I decided to try participating in Inktober this year for the first time! I'd actually never heard of it before, but I figured it'd be a good way to practice some traditional inking, since I want to get more into that. I opted for the every other day route, but I ended up only doing ten days' worth (not gonna do another one for the last day probably). My first one isn't worth posting here, haha (but you can see it on my Facebook page if you want). This one was done over nine sessions. My Hakuouki boyyyyyz! <3
I experimented a bit with inked shading here. Gah, so much harder than relying on screentones. OTL Need a lot more work on that. But I had a lot of fun and it was nice to get back to more consistent traditional drawing. And I think I find that I'm much better at drawing than at painting (especially painting in color compared to grayscale)... >_>;
