Gorvires are abominable beings who feed on dead flesh. They frequently appear alongside drae. Whether this is due to an alliance between the creatuers or because of the ample sources of dead flesh that the drae provide, no one knows.

Unlike drae, gorvires can be killed with physical weapons, but it's not easy. A gorvire will continue trying to rip its victim apart even after its head has been cut off. To truly dispatch a gorvire, one must chop it into so many pieces that it can cause no further harm.
