Alright, finally, after years and years of drawing other clothes for these two women, I finally came up with their "original" ones, that are what they would normally wear in a Warriors (Orochi)- themed world!
Now for some explanation:
Otae (on the right),
Is a REAL warrior. In the story, she has been trained as a ninja for many years; she knows how to fight, and how to kill, so she wears clothes that fit but will still protect her. Her favorite weapons are the "Sword and Hook" and the "Trishula", but she can still use almost all kinds of light weapons.
Both of them have animals that act as their symbols: Otae has cats (as seen on the top of her armor) because of her character and way of acting, and a nine-tailed fox because of how able she is in tricking men in doing whatever she wants and needs~
Please forgive me if the real nine-tailed fox does not symbolize this, but it's still a work in progress. I promise I will do more research about it!
Ayame (on the left),
is not a real warrior. Before the story started, she worked as a waitress in her father's inn, thus is used to serving food and drinks to customers. Due to many things happening, she found herself in the middle of a problematic moment, in which fighting means everything. Luckily for her, she has the ability to learn how to wield weapons pretty quickly, so she can hold herself in the battlefield without being a hassle to anyone else in there. This should explain her chioce of armor: Being used to light kimono and revealing clothes in general, a full armor would only slow her down.
She doesn't have a favourite weapon, but in this case she's using Zhong Hui's Flying Swords.
Her animals are foxes (as can be seen maybe XD on her boots), due to her character, and a Dragon, that symbolizes her loyalty and will to never give up no matter what happens~
For the background I took inspiration from Sengoku Basara 4's Giga Basara techinques, only on a smaller scale XD
Poses are inspired from the movements of the characters in Dynasty Warriors *bows to the wonderful gallery section*
I put this under the "Dynasty Warriors" Tag because they are characters based on that serie (including Warriors Orochi, Samurai Warriors, and a bit of Sengoku Basara)~
