Ughhh I don't wanna work on it anymore. So I'm basically done. Left is Ichigo Hitofuri and right is Mikazuki Munechika. The kanji on the side just says "Mikazuki Munechika and Ichigo Hitofuri" (it was written better on paper).
I'll admit this is my OTP which is strange since I don't normally ship. But they're spousal swords. I didn't mean for Mikazuki to look so feminine, whoops, didn't want to fix that either. I wanted Ichigo's right arm to do something than just hang there but it was getting to like 1AM when I sketched it so that's why in the digital form rather than fixing, I just made him hold a rose (his other hand is on Mikazuki's waist). There's a lot of tiny changes that I'm not gonna say and I kind of regret making a background since it's my weak point and I was already getting lazy. I opted out of making them blush 'cause every attempt looked weird.
Mikazuki being from the Heian period and is supposed to be the most beautiful, I associated him with cherry blossoms also because of how traditionally he's dressed. Ichigo is dressed with a western influence, understandable given the time period, but has a "royal" appearance. I associated him with roses because of that.
The original sketch was done in my sketchbook April 28th. Some details changed when I translated it to digital and colored it for nights (I didn't really work on it during the day except for outlining sometimes).
