I don't remember if I've talked about this before, but I recall when I was a child, I would hear people whispering quietly around me as I about to go to sleep, but I knew I was still wide awake as this was happening.

For a long time, it didn't happen again until recently this year.
When I was in the psych ward, I was laying in bed staring at the door and I heard the whispers again, but everyone was alseep in the unit.

Another similar event happened when I was a teenager, I was walking through the kitchen and I suddenly heard someone call out my name, but I didn't know where it came from. When I asked about it later on, nobody knew what I was talking about.
Weird.
