Hey guys! This is my entry for my friend TheDarkEclipse's challenge. I'm entering at pretty much the last minute, partially cause I'm a gigantic flake, but also because trying to decide how best to do this challenge.
I decided to go with a painting of Destiny Islands because a)I know you love Kingdom Hearts, and b) there's a lot of stuff in KH about growing up that really struck a chord with me, especially the scene when Sora and Kairi are on the beach the night before they're going to leave Destiny Islands and go exploring.
You're going through the same sort of things I went through when I turned eighteen a few months back: what do I do now? What's out there for me? Do I even want to find out? The transition from childhood to adulthood is rough, but I have confidence that you're going to come out the other end fine and do great things with your life.
The painting is watercolor and gel pen on watercolor paper. I used a couple references, these two for Sora and the palm trees, and this for the sunset. I love watercolors, and they're something I'm working on getting better at.
PS sorry for the iffy image quality. The colors are actually much nicer IRL, but unfortunately computers aren't kind to watercolors. I did what I could, and I'm going to try and get a better image somehow.
