I wanted to begin a small series of drawings of dragons. I got inspired by the 2015 discovery of the Yi Qi raptor fossil. Turns out when raptors began their journey towards birds one splinter group of dinosaurs went for wings supported on a membrane like bats rather than feathers like modern birds... Basically dragons were real, or should I say, vyverns were real. And they were tiny, like no bigger than a chicken.
This one is a fictional member of the family. A coastal, seagul like one.
