The drawings from 2009 to 2011 are probably not accurate because I never wrote down the date. I also remember worse drawings from 2009 when I drew on grid paper and the person was 2 squares wide (although the notebooks got destroyed in a flood so I don't have photos). I got nostalgic looking through my old binders and notebooks for these drawings, and I remember how much fun I had.
I looked up a lot of digital artists during middle school. I had an account on ratemydrawings, I looked through Final Fantasy fan art on deviantart, and it's when I found theO because I looked at luluseason's artwork, which is how years later I ended up making an account here.
I think it's kind of cute remembering that since 2009, I wrote down that I wanted to be an artist as a career despite the quality of my work. Even in my 8th grade yearbook, I wrote I wanted to be a graphic designer.
This year I struggled a lot because I had applied to colleges thinking I won't be an artist, but I've decided to continue on with art. Not as a graphic designer or as fine arts because I already accepted to attend a tech-based school. But considering the different majors and reputation of the college with what I want and what I'm good at, I decided to switch into game design/development because I want to combine the tech with the art and story. Making stories is about as important to me as making art. I haven't switched yet because I got to make a portfolio, but hopefully things work out.
