While this isn't directly an MLP draw, it was inspired by MLP. Moreover it was inspired by Sunset Shimmer's song "My Past is Not Today" and of course the title image.

Well when I first started drawing this, somehow my iPad drawing app dumped everything I was working on. So, had to start again and that took me even longer. I think what took the longest to draw overall was Johan and trying to get the pose and colors right. Drawing this really was challenging as I have never really drawn anything like this before but I knew I had to at least try. I owed it to myself to do that much.

So fast forward to 3 hours later, art is complete, relatively happy with it. I know it probably could be better but please keep in mind I'm not as fluent in drawing digitally as some other people. I did my best with what I had to work with. I just wanted to draw my own version with Johan coming out from the shadows and leaving the past of his demons (literally and figuratively) behind him.

Overall for what I did I'm happy with it. It's Johan's version of "My Past is Not Today" with a shadow Jehu with Glowing orange eyes wielding fire because fire. And of course the text I wrote inside the app. It turned out good for what I did.

And I took it into Photoshop and spent a little time cleaning it up and adjusting some colors. And now it's the draw you see now.
