This week I finally found a brush I am totally happy line-arting/inking with!! I discovered I could make my own brushes in Manga Studio 5, so I created one out of the rough pencil tool; the rough pencil feels the closest to a real pencil, but didn't play nice with cel-shading. After tweaking a few settings I got it fully opaque and playing nice lol Here we have my OC Rick soaking in the morning sun against the wall of his house. I tried adding really faint full white outlines to show the extra light light, but probably should have done all my highlights with a warmer yellow-orange instead of my usual white. Really need to learn to paint properly lol The line art turned out stellar though, just gotta thin my lines out a little. They have the character I was looking for though!
