Since coloring is my worst enemy, I thought I'd try some things I learned from a tutorial. The person in the video suggested to use a different color than the base color to shade with, and not to shade with only the airbrush tool to achieve a blend effect. So I did that here; the only thing I dislike is how purple the shading on her bandanna and vest is.
On another note, this is an OC from a very old and very poorly written pirate story I did back in middle school (her name's Typhoon). I thought I'd redraw her because I haven't touched these characters in years and her original outfit looked like something that a five year old would draw a pirate wearing.

Please let me know what you think about this coloring style! And general constructive criticism is welcome and appreciated!
