Here's my submission for the "Something Old, Something New" challenge created by Nikkeh09.

Dr. Kenzo Tenma - Monster

Shinichi Izumi - Parasyte

I discovered the Monster anime on Sci-Fi in 2006 and the Parasyte manga in my local library years later.

I have since read the Monster manga and watched the Parasyte anime. (I've also bought all volumes of both manga and am working on obtaining the anime box set for Monster).
I prefer the manga Parasyte so I drew Shinichi in that style.

I decided to draw these two characters:
1) Because I discovered this challenge
2) I love them both ,
3) Monster was one of the first anime series I got hooked on
4) The Parasyte manga drew me in from the cover =} and
5) Both series have excellent plots/stories and lovable characters, action, suspense, and hate-able characters.

I picked these poses because they represent the stories and the characters.
Tenma & Shinichi both have to battle themselves and others to do the right thing.

----Side Note: Thinking of submitting another picture with a character from the very first anime I can remember and one from the most recent anime (based on release date) that I have seen. And perhaps I'll color that one.----
