i decided to do this redraw of a drawing i drew for my dad when i was young, probably 10-11 years old. i was super into Mermaid Melody and Sailor Moon lol.
of course i would have improved in 10 years, but my main purpose of posting this is to remind you that talent is not given; it's earned. i was not born knowing how to draw well, i worked and worked at it.
my art has gone through many awkward phases of copying others' styles, drawing from life, etc.
but i think i've finally found my own style and i'm quite happy with it.
