Today's OCtober challenge is "An OC with an unusual hair color". I have loads of characters with do's of strange colors, but Tannufia takes the cake. Her people, the primary race inhabiting Silen Fah, are literally called the Jelturen , which translates to
"Color People", because of their hair. Every color you can imagine naturally occurs on somebody's head! But a full rainbow is an impressive rarity, so Tannufia has become renowned for her beauty throughout the country. Her parents were unicorn hunters (see footnote), so she grew up out in nature and has a wealth of wisdom about the forest, the fairies, and of course the elusive unicorns. Her cousin Llevarta learned a lot from her about living well in the wild. Tannufia married one of the humans - a cowboy from the wild west - and became Trajeda's mother.

I've never colored in her hair with markers before - colored pencils are my childhood friends! But markers really make things pop so that's mainly what's been used for this monthly challenge. I kind of like the way her hair turned out!

Footnote: Relax, nobody's killing off the unicorns! They just have really valuable tail hairs with magical properties, so a unicorn "hunter" tracks them down and then takes a few hairs - always asking politely of course.
