Aerith is trying to get Cloud to help her run errands, but Cloud doesn't want to. Earlier in that chapter of the game Aerith hires Cloud to be her bodyguard, the payment being one date. (It doesn't seem like Cloud really agreed to that, but he helped her anyways.)
