I have had this drawing idea on my mind for the past week or so. Part of it was wanting to draw a different design for Blue Angel and the other was drawing Amulet Diamond so....I decided to draw them both together.

While I like Blue Angel/Aoi as a character, I am not the hugest fan of her canon avatar outfit for the VRAINS. It all looked like everything was tacked on haphazardly (in my opinion) and had no sense of flow. So I redesigned her avatar's outfit to be a bit more "angel like" while keeping the same basic concept to her outfit. I wanted to give Blue Angel a nice layered skirt with a feather like train overlaying the top layer, then I still kept her skirt poofy like her canon design and gave her a white petticoat of sorts underneath. I would have drawn her wings, but I didn't have room plus I wanted to draw Amulet Diamond next to her...so the wings will have to wait for a future drawing.

I kept the top portion mostly the same but made the blue part a wrap around like bodice type of thing. I also added feather "sleeves" of sorts too and gave her gloves. Other than that, her design is mostly the same. I just wanted to try redesigning it for fun.

The Technical Stuff: This drawing took awhile, it may not look like it but I spent over five hours or so drawing this. The hardest part was trying to get both of their poses right and draw them so they were as proportional as possible. Lots of erasing, redrawing, and getting tired of the pencil stage while creating this drawing. But once I got to the pen stage to ink in my lineart, it was a relief and it was relatively easy from there...then of course coloring the whole thing in which took awhile as well. Point is, this took me a hot minute to create...but here it is...all done.
