This is my Art Summary for 2025. I wanted to post it before 2026, but I was lazy. oTL
Plus the site was down, so I slack off more, XD
This year has been interesting… I feel like I was pretty active toward the beginning of 2025, then just slacked off for the rest of the year….lol
Beginning in 2025, I was going to attempt to draw daily and it worked. I kind of kept up for like 15 days because I got stuck at home. There was a blizzard so I was able to get off work and just chill and draw. Then I burnt out. Lamo
I did enjoy it, but I really regret the journal I used. It was not a sketchbook and I used paint pens, and now those drawings got ruined because they got stuck together and I’m upset. But that’s on me for not using a proper sketch book or sealing the pages. 🙁
Anyway, January was one of the daily drawings I did. The theme was abandoned? And I drew a forgotten bear! It’s a simple drawing and I just really adore it! I like that I attempted to put a little perspective in it.
February I tried to pick up the daily drawing again. I was developing a couple of new Ocs. Remi a fox gjinka and Cole a detective, I don’t recall the story I wanted to write. I had a few more drawings of them, but it got ruined in the stupid journal.
March I was testing my paint markers on watercolor paper, and I drew Remi. She came out really nice, and I liked how the paper took the pens. I need to see if I do some more this year.
April I did a bird painting for my mother’s birthday. I painted it on wood with my paint markers. It was a trial and error kind of thing. My mom really liked it and it’s hung on the living room wall. >w<
May I did a drawing for Mermay and Kita’s challenge! I had so much fun working on this! I still need to post my wip photos of it! Anyways I tried to challenge myself on making a background, and I used mixed media, paint markers and alcohol markers.
June I drew Remi! I kind of really like drawing her this year. XD This one was a test though. I got some craft paper I wanted to draw on. I think it came out okay, and Remi looks cute.
July I did a doodle of a Pokemon gijinka, but I forgot what pokemon it was. I know it’s from a new generation and it’s an electric pokemon. It can be sweet, but then turns into a little menace. Anyways this was her first design, but I scarped it because it unintentionally looked too much like my coworker and it felt kinda off. oTL I did redesign her though.
August I did draw a few things, but my biggest project was repainting a statue! I love that statue, it was very fun to paint. It took me a couple of weeks because it was trial and error. Lmao and I also used an air brush for the first time, and I had no clue what I was doing. I also used my paint markers. I hope to post my progress photos on that too! I did start a 2nd statue, but haven’t finished it, because I kind of need to fix it. I might get it done later this year.
September I developed a few new characters I called Grace and Nathaniel. For now it was just doodles and planned to do a little drawing series revolving around dance/ballet. I might revisit the idea.
October I didn’t do much other than doodles. I like this one, I think it’s an eagle? I didn’t reference anything in particular. Lol
November I was testing drawing with my paint markers on colored cardstock. Had fun and hope I can do a few more things with it.
December I drew my clown Oc Billy. It’s been a while since I drew him. The drawing was most inspired by a scary clown make up trend I saw on instagram and loved it! I need to draw Billy more. He's very fun to draw, but he’s not all scary. He’s a softie with his wife and daughter. lol
