I can't believe it's already time for OC-tober!! My theme this year is music-inspired pieces. I'm thinking I'm going to do one every five days in case they get really involved (and because I also want to do Huevember next month).

The song for this first piece is "Made of Glass" by ATB, and the featured OC is Khalil (see his profile on his first OC-tober drawing). This was mostly inspired by the pre-chorus, though other lyrics influenced it a little bit:

If I could I'd hold this moment,
If I could I'd make it last...
Sometimes life just seems to shatter,
Like we're made of glass.

Khalil is holding a "moment" with his found family.

Funny story: I meant to just get the sketch down last night...and the next thing I knew, I had pretty much finished the piece! (I guess that's what happens when the inspiration actually takes the reins and I run with it.) I tweaked it today and decided to color it. I included a chunk of the lyrics on the film strips, but they're a bit hard to read in the color version. ^-^;
