Since Rick's character will probably wound up an engineer, and he needed a way to fight, I decided to go with an idea hatched by the engineers I went to school with; that is, building a bridge knowing it will fail. The anime twist comes with the fact that they are doing advanced mechanical engineering and the fact that an 18 year old can build a functional rail cannon. Rick will be testing most of Zack's non-mech weaponry throughout the series.
