I really want to write and draw a short comic this year, so I decided to make the effort to figure out how to screen tone using Sai since I don’t know how to use Manga Studio. It wasn’t as hard as I thought since it’s just adding textures and clipping it. I’m not sure why I never figured it out. oTL

Anyways I decided to do a little screen toning test! I scanned this page from my sketchbook and cleaned it up.

These are some adopted ocs. The boy is named Louie, the girl is named Maica and the little chickens are Kollie and Kolliko. Louie is a closed species that is kind of doll like and breaks, I think Maica found him and fixed him up. I don’t really remember since I drew this in 2015. XD
I could work with the idea though and make a super short comic practice....

This is not the best, but what do you guys think of the toning? I'll see if I practice more once I'm over my cold and look at some manga pages for toning ideas.
