The sad thing is, probably most of the people reading this won't get the "hybrid" and "sigma and pi bond" thing... So in cause you're one of those, here's a mini/vague/fuzzy explaination: In chemistry, between atoms, there exist bonds. In trying to explain the shape of the structure, people use this method called "hybridization" where they combine different orbitals. ("Hybrid" can also mean combination of animals, e.g. mule. so it's also a insult) Moving on, in this page, they are learning the idization for double bonds, which consists of a sigma bond and a pi bond that exist between the two p orbitals.
