Collective Moments: Deindividuation
Art and Story by Jerome Ishikoro (theOtaku.com's The Mask)
This theory was developed by Philip Zimbardo.
1. Deindividuation - Several input variables (ex. anonymity, loss of responsibility, drug usage) cause persons to experience subjective changes (ex. loss of awareness, loss of internal control) and become more impulsive, irrational, aggressive, and even violent.
2. Deindividuation involves two basic components: reduced self-awareness and altered experiencing.
