When Raewyn Brakett loses his home village to pirates who kidnap his mother he aims to face the ones who did it and rescue her.

On the way he finds allies, enemies, and adventures , including the discovery that there is something much deeper revolving not only around the history of his ancestors but of the planet on which they live.
