Set in an alternate universe. Kai's friend and mentor Anya had been in a car accident, which he soon learns has left her brain-dead. After struggling to overcome with his denial for the inevitable, Kai finally manages to find the courage to say goodbye to the woman who made him the blader that he is today.

I was watching the Scrubs episode "My Long Goodbye" when this idea popped into my head. I'd thought about using Wyatt, but that propably would've sucked. So I decided to set it in a different universe, using an OC.
